Thorium- is an important alloying agent in magnesium

Protactinium- is little used outside of research. 

Uranium is a very important element because it provides us with nuclear fuel used to generate electricity in nuclear power stations.

Neptunium- is little used outside research.

Plutonium- was used in several of the first atomic bombs.

Americium- is commonly used in smoke alarms.

Curium- has been used to provide power to electrical equipment used on space missions. 

berkelium- has no commercial or technological use at present.

Californium- is a very strong neutron emitter. 

Einsteinium has no uses outside research.

Fermium- has no uses outside research.

Mendelevium- is used only for research.

Nobelium- has no uses outside research.

Lawrencium- has no uses outside research.
