P block elemants

Boron group- they all contain three electons in there outermost shell.

boron- is used as a rocket fuel igniter and in pyrotechnic flares.

Aluminium- is used in a huge variety of products including cans, foils, kitchen utensils, window frames, beer kegs and aeroplane parts.

Gallium- is a useful silicon substitute for the electronics industry.

indium- is used to make indium tin oxide, which is an important part of solar panels and flatscreen TVs.

thallium- is used by the electronics industry in photoelectric cells.

Ununtrium- At present, it is only used in research.

Carbon group- all of these elements contain 4 electrons in the outtermost shell.

carbon- is used for charcoal (from wood) and coke (from coal) is used in metal smelting.

Silicon- is one of the most useful elements to mankind. Most is used to make alloys.

Germanium- is used as a transistor in thousands of electronic applications.

Tin- is used in high polish and is used to coat other metals to prevent corrosion, such as in tin cans, which are made of tin-coated steel.

Lead- is used in pencills.

Flerovium- at present, it is only used in research.
